The Independent Weekly

One of the premier alternative weeklies in the nation, and it's right here in North Carolina. Every week it covers politics, music, art, food & film better than the daily newspapers.

A new issue every Wednesday or check them out online

Pelican Publishing

Pelican has published the annual Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year since 1972, as well as a number of other political cartoon collections.

NBM

NBM is the second largest independent publisher of graphic novels and comic book collections (after Fantagraphics). From 2007-2009, I designed their series of classic comic strip reprints "Forever Nuts."

The Notebook

The full name of this quarterly is "Notebook of the Association of the American Editorial Cartoonists" but everyone just calls it The Notebook ... for 52 years, in one form or another, it has chronicled the ups and downs and adventures of the AAEC, and for eight years I was its editor.

The Herald Sun

For over five years I was a features and news designer at The Herald-Sun, a daily newspaper in Durham, North Carolina.
