When I found out a old high school friend's house was ON THE PATH OF TOTALITY of the solar eclipse, I immediately made plans to visit. I also dove into finding out what I needed to do to shoot a timelapse of the event, and, along with help from my brother, created this moody 4-minute short. UPDATE: While editing the footage, I noticed a splotch in one of the frames. At first I thought maybe the gaffers tape holding the filter in place was still in the frame. Upon closer examination however, I discovered the following photobomber:
My 1-frame-a-second exposure had managed to catch the airliner that famously crossed the corona during the eclipse. When another friend from high school saw it on my facebook page, she asked for permission to use it at work — so this shot now resides in the astronomy department at MIT.
